Bougainvillea

The colourful plant Bougainvillea is well-known for the beauty of its trumpet shaped flowers. A delicious addition of bright bold colours to your garden. The leaves of the Bougainvillea are oval and beautifully arranged making sure the flowers receive the attention they deserve. The blooming starts in September and will continue through to May. The Bougainvillea plants is both suited for indoors as well as outdoors. It has beautiful coloured flowers and grows very quickly.  It is a perfect climbing plant to cover walls and fences, making it a beautiful plant for your terrace, balcony and garden.

Cycas

One of the most ancient of plants, Cycas also know as the Sago Palm, has been around since prehistoric times. By appearance Cycas looks like a palm tree, but nothing could be further from the truth. Cycas belong to the exotic Cycadaceae family. They do not produce flowers but cones, much like pine trees. Cycas are an easy to maintain green plant that grows relatively slowly and does not require much attention. It prefers the shade in the summer months and doesn’t like you to touch its leaves. They are plants of great antiquity that have conserved their characteristics, so much that some consider it to symbolise immortality. The Cycas plant is often used when landscaping a garden to add dramatic structure.

Oleander

Adored and feared the Oleander is a deadly beauty. When blooming the Oleander has either beautiful pink, white, orange, lilac, yellow or red flowers. Yet their beauty has also been known to stop the heart, literally. The Oleander is well-known as a toxic plant, it is dangerous to eat and contact with the Oleander may cause skin irritation. Not all of the Oleander is dangerous, its seeds and leaves are used to make medicine, including heart medicine. The Oleander plant is considered to be one of the most versatile of shrubs and tolerates a wide range of conditions.  Available with a double flower and a single flower, the most fragrant plant is the double flower. One thing, this fragrant plant cannot withstand is winter temperatures below 20 degrees.  Making it a perfect plant for Qatar’s climate. The Oleander blooms from spring until the end of summer, producing large clusters of flowers. They grow and bloom best in full sun, but they will tolerate light shade.

Desert Rose

The Desert Rose also know as Adenium, is a stunning flowering succulent. It can be hard to believe that a succulent can produce such stunning flowers as you will see on a Desert Rose. The large, rose-shaped flowers usually appear in late Summer or early Spring. Even when not in bloom this plant is still beautifully showing off its deep green waxy leaves and a fat, unique light-coloured trunk. The Desert Rose requires little water and thrives in heat.  The Desert Rose keeps its own water storage inside its bulbous trunk until it requires it.  Most Desert Rose plants have a bonsai-like appearance. Outside in hot climates this plants can grow up to 9 feet tall and about 4 feet wide. Desert Roses can be planted in the ground or keep it in a pot as pot plant for your patio or balcony.

Jasmine

Because of its unique sweet fragrance Jasmine is a popular flower around the world, especially in the tropics and other warm temperate regions. The flowers of the Jasmine plants have an exotic, sweet fragrance that perfumes the air on warm summer evenings. Most of the time the fragrant flowers of the Jasmine are white, with some exception of species with yellow flowers. Did you know that the Jasmine flower buds are actually more fragrant than the flowers itself? This fragrant plant is perfect to create a perfumed shield over your trellises, balconies and fences.  Choose between a  trailing Jasmine vines or a fragrant Jasmine bush.  Jasmine plants can offer so much to your garden, making them a great addition.
